My friend Drew sent me this music video, because he knows I love things that are amazing. Rebecca Black’s “Friday” combines everything I look for in a song: mindless repetition, lyrics that tell me exactly what’s happening at all times, and an explanation of how days work.

I am just so relieved that we can stop writing songs now that we have the perfect musical composition in our lives.

Welcome to London!

taken 8/28/2007. I am back and it is story time! As referenced in a previous post, I studied abroad experience started off fairly rocky. Pardon my “storytelling”, I just fire off a play by play of sorts.

My flight wasn’t particularly late; I believe that I flew out of Seattle around 9pm and it was a 9 hour flight straight shot so I landed 2pm London time. The flight wasn’t bad; I watched 4 movies they offered and remembered only 1 of them: TMNT. And that was the best of the 4. I had eaten before I got on the plane so I didn’t eat that much of the dinner the airline provided. I had arranged with my TA to meet me at the airport so she could guide me to the campus where I would be staying.

After a good hour or so of waiting, asking people I recognized from my flight if I could use their phones to try and contact my TA, I realized that she was a no-show. So I ask some airport workers for directions on which stations I should get off at. That was a tad hard since they had no idea where I was going. Perfect. So for the next 2-3 hours, the above picture is what I saw as my first experience out of the states. [To be continued…]

Earthbound!

This is a nerdy project that I’ve worked on for a little while now. If you’ve played Earthbound, any Super Smash Bros., then you might know what I’m paying homage to.

I’ve neglected my tumblr for a bit, but I’ll revive it here soon! Pinky swear!

I Hate Spiders

taken 09/22/2010. as i was slaving away over a hot microwave, i looked out the window and saw a ton of spider webs out in the garden. i really hate running into spiders and their webs when you run into them, but they do look cool. so i decided to take advantage of the weather while it’s still sunny.

Buon Viaggio!

taken 09/04/2010. and “a presto!” according to google, those two phrases mean “have a safe journey” and “see you soon” in Italian. hopefully they say those two things.

i had a great time up at this cabin of theirs; spending time with close friends and pretty much family. =] and to Joey and Samantha, i want to see some pictures of Italy as soon as you get a chance! and remember to use the Italian phrases you already know: spaghetti, ravioli, pasta, pizza…

Best. Pastime. Ever.

taken 09/04/2010. after kayaking, shooting things, and other organized activities, we defaulted to the age old pastime: Throwing Rocks. we must’ve done this for a good 10-15 minutes. events ranged from “hey, let’s hit that stick— no, that one! see? the one sticking out there?” to “let’s hit the buoy!”
